Born in Trieste, a mitteleuropean town on the Adriatic Sea, I won the prize for being the best high school student in Italy in 1986. Because of this, in 1990 I was asked by RAI, the national broadcasting company, to write and host some educational TV programs. These experiences helped me to focus on forging cultural change.

I graduated in Political Sciences, and got an MBA in International Business promoted by the Consortium of Universities of Trieste, Udine, Venice, Bologna, Vienna, Rijeka and Ljubljana (Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia).

My career in culture change, education and communication consultancy began 15 years ago in Electrolux, where I helped to create the learning program and materials for European manufacturing based on internal best practices. Then I joined the Deloitte Consulting Change Leadership team.

In the last 15 years, I have worked on culture change with many organizations. I specialized in internal communications, brand engagement and coaching, and I have been involved in the delivery of a wide spectrum of projects.

Marco Minghetti invited me to be one of the promoters of “humanistic management” (storytelling, literature, cinema, drama, art for culture change). In 1996, I introduced the first drama-based leadership program in an international MBA in Italy.

Together with some colleagues, I built Newton Management Innovation, a consultancy based in Milan and Rome aimed at combining new strategic thinking with really creative delivery.

  • Since 2001, Newton has worked with more than 100 major brands.
  • I have been a practitioner of social videos for internal communication since 2002. I wrote the first European book on the use of web videos for internal communication and brand engagement.
  • In the food industry, I participated in the design of the first brand university in Italy (and designed the second one).
  • I was the Newton project leader of the open distance Master Programme MASTER 24, which involved more than 10,000 people.
  • In 2004, I engaged all the employees of a 20,000-employee company in the first open innovation community in Italy.
  • I was a board member of Newton, 24 ORE Group and managing director of Newton Edutainment.

I am the training manager of Parks, a European association founded by Ivan Scalfarotto for LGBT issues in the workplace. Together with Giampaolo Colletti, I wrote the first book in Italy on LGBT issues in the business environment.

I have been a lecturer for several universities and schools with many of which I still collaborate: 24ORE Business School, Venice Ca’ Foscari, IULM, Udine, Cattolica Milano, Bocconi, Pavia, Trieste, MIB School of Management, ALMA Business School, Domus Academy.

At present, I am a partner of Newton Management Innovation – 24 Ore Group, and I lead culture change projects.
