Companies lack competitiveness when they have a fragile corporate culture and become closed worlds that are incapable of managing complexity. Along with Andrea Beretta, Mauro Gambini, Nicola Giunta and Patrizia Sorrenti, I am one of the creators of the multimedia project Zzzoot – Fulminati in azienda (Zzzoot – Struck by Lightening at Work). The work consists of two books, a successful radio series on Radio24 with more than 100 episodes and a series of articles for L’Impresa, a monthly magazine from Il Sole 24 Ore. In the story, God strikes the earth with a redeeming lightning to change all of the companies in the world, finally making them competitive, sustainable and people-oriented. A single company, Zzzoot, resists any type of change – not even God is capable of overcoming the resistance of this closed, self-absorbed world.
