On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Newton Management Innovation and WeWorld promoted “Change Leader Companies,” a workshop at Unicredit Pavillon about gender stereotypes in the workplace. Change has always been the outcome of our thoughts and our willingness to take risks.
Together, we want to promote a new perception of the reality of unconscious biases that prevent women from expressing their talents in the organizational environment.
During the workshop, we presented the outcome of WeWorld’s research about the costs of stereotypes and gender violence. The speakers focused on the attitudes that facilitate or impede women in fully expressing their talents. The role of language and communication in preserving or overcoming prejudices was underlined. Companies participating in the event decided to invest their resources in building a social and organizational agenda for empowering women. The Newton delivery team composed of Gianluca Cravera, Eva Campi, Valeria Cardillo Piccolino and me, led the event.
