After the sad January 2015 events in Paris, the Italian web-based newspaper LINKIESTA published a series of interviews about inclusion and integration in Italian workplaces. I was interviewed about culture and religion integration in Italian companies. The main points of my contribution were the need for a clear governance of inclusion by top management, the strategic role of training in building a culture of respect, the focus on merit in order to avoid unequal career path management and finally a two-pronged approach: the “sterilization” of company festive communications and the creation of a welcoming atmosphere in which individual religious choices can be exercised freely.
